And of course this is the key point, many went along because they believed and trusted the false information used to start it.
Nonetheless I continue to be puzzled by the otherwise intelligent people I know who are convinced there were WMD's, we just haven't found them, that Iraq was terrorist breeding ground and that Iraq was connected to 9/11! The latest I heard from one of them was that Iraq gutted passenger planes and shipped the WMD's out to Syria, disguised as passenger flights.
Never heard that one before! A lot of people are willing to believe anything just to avoid the cognitive dissonance.
George and Dick really do need a vacation at the Hague....to be tried for crimes against humanity...
