Very true. But perhaps only part of the picture, IMV. The person you describe is a wonderful type of personality. But one of many types. I have recently been reading a lot about extroverts and introverts. (And the Briggs-Myer 8 classes of each for you anal types -- myself included.) Introverts are wired differently than extroverts, different -- often longer and more complex neural pathways. And distinctly different levels of key neurotransmitters. And introverts comprise only 25% of the general population, yet 60% of the gifted population. And just as history is written by the victors, many social, group, cultural perceptions are shaped by the "majority". Your description is of a actualized extrovert. Some introverts may be as actualized -- but express it differently. Just a thought / observation.
