Jesus was a 1st Century Jewish apocalyptic prophet. He taught the immanent
coming of the Kingdom of God. And he himself almost certainly pointed to the
"Son of Man" as someone other than himself. In fact, almost all the stuff
about Jesus saving the sins of the world etc. was added by Paul later. In
other words, there is a radical distinction between the religion "of" Jesus and
the religion which grew up "about" him. These are just the basics. If you all
want to learn more about this subject from an expert, I suggest you buy some of
Bart Ehrman's lectures at www.teachco.com.

...would be an entity intermediate between "God" (a Monotheistic
Personal Deity) and humans. The Jehovah's Witness concept of Jesus
fits into this category, since from the JW perspective, Jesus is the
redeemer, the Savior and Messiah; but NOT God! (that title alone
reserved for YHVH)...according to the JW. (but still unacceptable to
Judaism).
The ancient Greeks seemed to belittle YHVH, placing him in
the "Demi" or half-God category.
