A similar mind set, IMO, is the advice / directive a teacher gave at a retreat I was on. "Don't act like you are a guest here, and that the staff and others are here to serve you. Act as if this is your house, and you are the host, and you are trying to make sure thr party is running smoothly and that everyone is having a good time." Its a great way for courses and life, IME.
