Nabby, if God is the mind that organizes and created everything, the 
deepest part of ourselves, how can we not "become Him/Her"? We 
already are that. 

OK, if you like the idea so why not. But I do not buy that consept. 
To be one with and become something is still a distinction for my 
unenlightened mind. 
Perhaps it's just me lacking ambition ;-)
