There's been a small amount of discussion on alt.music.dance about the
Paul Van Dyk mixes of "Bring My Family Back". Apparently there are
different versions of the mix, one lasting six minutes, one lasting
eight, and another one lasting more than ten.
Given that I've only so far found the UK CD single version (which I
presume is the shortest, knowing how short-changed we get nowadays), can
anyone point me in the direction of the other mixes and where to find
them? Thanks.
My belated comment about the Bring My Family Back release is that I felt
the whole thing was a bit unnecessary; the single version was OK, the
Rollo & Sister Bliss mix was alright but not amazing, and it was the
Paul Van Dyk mix that made it worth it after all. However I would have
been a lot happier if there'd been B-sides instead of mixes, since it's
not the kind of track that lends itself to being dance-remixed.
That track from that compilation CD Faithless recently appeared on
(can't remember the details, sorry), for example, would have made a
much-appreciated B-side on the CD single.
