What a fabulous track this is!! Very dark, very fierce, and very
personal -- I wonder whether the whole album is an analysis of the
Rollo/Bliss split. I can't wait for it to come out.
Matt Sikorski has already transcribed some of the lyrics on his site, and
here's my stab at the rest of them:
[Dubby baritone sax intro]
[Piano noodling a la "Sunday 8pm"]
[Proper song begins with bass riff, somewhat like "She's my Baby"?]
[Woman's voice, supposedly Rachael, but the voice sounds like Blissy's
account of being stranded at Heathrow from the album version of "Take The
Long Way Home"]:
I'm so [echo, fade]
sorry [echo, fade]
I did [echo, fade]
love you [echo, fade]
so [echo, fade]
aaaaah [this "aaah" seems to be spliced from "sorry"]
[Rachael, very faint:]
I
Want
You
[four times, then Luke Garwood:]
> And if you're
> under...
> And if you're
> under...
> And if you're born under a bad sign,
And there are no wise men,
And there are no king's men,
Who will glue you back together again?
> And like two blind mice,
> we lost our way.
