Thanks to a record shop selling me the CD earlier than they're supposed
to (the official release date is tomorrow), I now have a copy of Dido's
"Thank You" CD.

The front cover artwork is nice enough but Dido looks a bit gormless
with her mouth hanging open. The design is in the style of the "Here
With Me" single.

The album version I've listen to once, but because I've heard it so many
times thanks to the album, I don't think it'll be getting another play.

The Deep Dish vocal mix is fantastic. Brilliant uplifting house stuff,
interesting vocal effects, nice builds and structure. The vocal has been
slowed down slightly in order to fit with a faster beat; if you haven't
heard it yet then you'll see what I mean when you do. Great stuff.

The Skinny mix is a little bit generic, unfortunately. Apart from a few
interesting breaks (particularly one around 2:00 into the track), it's
more-or-less the original song with a slightly more trip-hop backing.
Fair enough, but nothing outstanding.

The CD includes a info-return-card which, for the first time that I've
noticed, is a cross between the Cheeky card and the InterAct card-
asking you whether you'd be interested in other Cheeky artists, but with
an InterAct logo. Further proof of the seemingly happy relationship
between Cheeky and Arista/BMG.

Anyway, overall the CD scores 8/10 in my book, and that's almost
entirely thanks to the Deep Dish vocal mix.

Stuart.
