Well I see we're a lot alike. I own five copies myself :) Original US
digipack release, Pinkpop Edition, Saturday 3AM version, Bonus CD Rom
version and US promo acetate CD. The placement of "Hour Of Need" on the UK
CD always bothered me as I don't like the song and thought it totally
stalled the CD. I always skipped it if it was the UK version I had. But
great point about the way the UK version ends with such a dark note.

Even more interesting to me in light of your story that Arista didn't like
the track much and moved it to the end, I have a promo acetate CD-R of
"Sunday 8PM" from Arista. This doesn't have any cover artwork, just a brown
cover with tracklisting, Arista logo, Faithless "Sunday 8PM"-US Version,
etc. On this promo CD, "Hour Of Need" is actually track 12, AFTER the Radio
Edit of "God Is A DJ". So at this point it is basically outside the context
of the CD, I wonder if it was planned as a bonus track? It is also titled
"In My Hour Of Need" on this promo. Then again it may mean nothing, the US
advance promo I have for "Reverence" has the Monster Mix Edit of "Insomnia"
as track ONE!!??

I'd be willing to bet yes. Why? Because on the US Outrospective sampler CD
it has 5 tracks. The UK sampler had 4 tracks. Guess what track 5 on the US
sampler is, the edit of "We Come 1". I bet it will be the last track on the
US version of the CD.

Also, as I mentioned before, the promotional posters for "Outrospective" in
the US state "features We Come 1 and One Step Too Far FEATURING DIDO" so
I'm willing to bet good money this will see a single release in the States,
maybe even the second single whereas they're talking "Ali" as the second
single in the UK.
Guarantee Arista will push the Dido track and connection HARD to sell some
copies of this CD here. My opinion, it won't work that well, the song is
much too electronic and very different from Dido's solo material. It won't
get played on the soft rock/pop stations I'm always hearing her music on
here. I guarantee it will sell more copies than in the past though with her
success now.
