Ah, wait, that's under the Security tab, click on Custom and then scroll down,
there's a Scripting section and stuff about Java applets, if you turn off all
the various places for scripting and java, that'll completely disable
javascripts. (I know this because then I couldn't do certain things at Topica
and you won't be able to login at Yahoogroups either, I think.)

But for a PC, there's a better option to stop popups than disabling javascript,
use PopupStopper:

http://www.panicware.com/popupstopper.html

The free version is all that's needed, stops all those popup windows and then if
you want to allow one, you hold down the control or shift key and click the
link. By using this instead of disabling javascript, you allow the other
javascript that's on a page that's not related to popups to run.

I've been using PopupStopper for about a month now and it works great with IE
(and N6 and N4, too), it's not a memory hog, sits in the control bar and works
nicely. If you want to open multiple windows of IE, just hold down the control
key and click the IE icon on the desktop or toolbar.
