I believe the default config for tinyMCE is set to enforce a specific HTML element subset. You can change this by changing the tinyMCE config... probably something like XHTML compliance or some such. When I get a chance I might publish a variety of different tinyMCE configs for people to get a feel for how it works -- its very configurable. Next I'd like to look at creating a specific FarCry "theme" for tiny too.
