Since it appears that "admin.properties" is identical to "admin_en_US.properties", I backed up (the missing properties version) of the en_US file and copied/renamed admin.properties to the en_US file. After an updateapp=1 it appears to be all valid.
Furthermore, I set both property files to "read-only" so there should be no way in hell that file is modified somehow by the code. Which raises the question: how is FarCry code writing/modifying the property files in the first place????? Baffling..they should all be set to read-only in the deployment package.
