Nelson,

> Are there any documents to assist in upgrading from v2.3 to v3?

Here’s a rough overview.

1. Backup your DB before you do anything.

2. Backup your existing fourq and farcry_core folders and remove them from their current location.

3. Place the new fourq and farcry_core in their place.

4. Run http://<domain>/farcry/updates

5. When the updater screen comes up choose v2.3 (to grab any updates of 2.3 since your last update), v3.00 and v3.0.1 (if you downloaded the latest from CVS).  You may also want to choose 2.3 to grab any updates since your last build.

6. Update the application scope (?updateapp=1).  The updater will offer a link when it is complete which does this for you.  Some people have said that their installations will only work after upgrading to v3 unless they restart CF services (I haven’t had this problem personally).

7. If you have any custom types, you may want to update your stylesheets and HTML layout in them to reflect the new look and feel.

A little over a year ago I made a short video tutorial that demonstrates upgrading 2.2 to 2.3.  Except for step 7 above, everything else should be the same.  You can find it at (http://www.jeffcoughlin.com) and click on tutorials.
