If the data is to be managed internally (ie not community managed) then you could create custom types to manage the stats. The main advantages of this is that FarCry will manage the database end of things, and you can create displayMethods so that webpages will be generated for your custom types automatically.

I'm building a new site with FarCry as the CMS.

The site will be "virtual sports" type site, so players, leagues, sports,
stats, users etc

1) I am best building the "sports" database seperate to farcry_projectname
db or simply insert these new tables in the farcry db?

2) The "query/update/edit" pages to interrogate this data, do i build them
skinless say in dreamweaver then use "includes" in FarCry to run these
pages??

3) Any good userguides on data driven sites using FarCry?

I'm using MySQL, CFMX7 and FarCry build 3.0.1

Thanks in advance
