Take a look at the pre-built filters used for the News edit in FarCry.  When you go to the list page there’s an option to edit by date range.  It looks like it automatically gives them the date fields in the DB for options (I haven’t looked at the code, but that’s what it appears to be).

 

Now that Geoff has Mat Bryant working with him to do AJAX stuff in FarCry 3.1, I wonder if he’d allow him to add a date image and have something simple to use like on kayak.com (pretty cool AJAX site I use often).  On that home page click on a date image and you’ll see the date range come up (so far the easiest one to use I’ve seen so far).

 

Geoff, any chance you’d copy… err, use something similar like the calendar range AJAX code used on that site?  (*nudge *nudge)
