Write your own nav generation code. Instead of just outputing the child navigation nodes of a particular section, you would have it output the the section's node as well. You could probably get the result you want with a few small changes of a copy of the core tag.

Hi,

Can anyone suggest the best way to make the default page for a
navigation node appear in the sub navigation menu?

Best example of what I want to do is:

On the farcrycms.org site if you click on "Downloads"
http://www.farcrycms.org/index.cfm?objectid=A762F85C-EA69-0EC7-F07525420E5D21E6

You get the downloads dmHTML page and a list of other areas on the left
navigation  (Subversion, CVS, Optional Plugins etc).  If you click on
any of these options, you have no area in the left navigation to get
back to the Downloads dmHTML page.  You have to click downloads in the
main site navigation, or in the breadcrumb.

Is there an easy way to make the "Downloads" page appear in the left
navigation?
