I have just been through this a few weeks back.

If you use the networks' NetBIOS name NOT the full qualified domain
name you will have more luck, but as Andrew has said on many posts you
are better off to make your own login.cfm which can use the farcry AD
authorisation.
Because all though you might get policy mapped to AD groups AND get
user ID and password challenged successfully against AD you will still
not populate the session.dmProfile values required to use the farcry
admin area. So with a simple login page that checks userID and password
are correct, then checks farcry Profile table for a match, if not
creates a profile and automatically populates the fields with AD
information.
