I am currently evaluating farcry for a planned complete site replacement for
one of Virginia's larger community colleges (that's why all the newbie
questions lately).

I tried out 2.X about a year ago after Steve's presentation at CFUNITED '05
but didn't really "get" it due to installation problems and having less CF
experience at the time. Now a year later after seeing the presentation at
CFUNITED '06 and having much more comfortability with CF I have to say I'm
very impressed by it.

I hope to roll us completely over from the (mishmash of) static and
homebrewed CF mini-sites we have now to a comprehensive
Farcry+CFMX7+2003/IIS6+mySQL5 stack within the next few months. My
development environment has been pleasing me so far. I just need to keep
learning about Farcry as I experiment!

Thanks again to everyone who has been helping me out with answers. Once we
get our new site out I'd be happy to provide links and some "dude, we love
it" copy for Farcry publicity from the .edu sector.

:)
