You don't actually need to change the core to do this: add the file to the project directory, and add the menu item to your webtop xml with exactly the same menu structure and ids as it has in the origonal xml, except with the new path. This will replace the function in the FarCry admin console, but leave the core files clean. The only reason I mention this is because having custom core files can make upgrading a real chore.
