Wind,

> The version I installed in 3.0.0... The Site Search Bar above just isn't
working... When I press "Search" I just get redirected to the Home Page.
Why?

If you're still using the initial release of 3.0.0, then edit
<project>/webskin/includes/dmHeader.cfm. Find the <form> tag and change the
action="" attribute value to
"#application.url.conjurer#?objectid=#application.navid.search#"

Many bug fixes have been addressed in 3.0.1 and 3.0.2 since FC 3 was
initially released. It is suggested to upgrade.

> Also, I don't have any logs of the search queries I execute.

They are under the reports tab

> I saw a demonstration of Plone-CMS, and in their demo video, all the user
had to do was to save the item and send it up.

I haven't used Plone personally, so I can't explain why their search acts
the way it does. What search engine are they using? Are they just doing
LIKE searches?

If videos are your thing, then checkout FarCry 3.0 - An Overview (part 5 of
5) on http://www.jeffcoughlin.com/?pg=9 which shows a demonstration of using
Verity in FarCry 3.

> Also, I think FarCry doesn't work well with Linux... I encountered is a
template not found because of the loosely-typed filenames, particularly the
displaypageLanding.cfm (coded as displayPageLanding.cfm in the referring
file).

I haven't looked into this. If the error still exists in 3.0.2 please
submit it as a bug in the FarCry bug tracker http://bugs.farcrycms.org:8080/
