The first would work, but it would tricky to set up. Some things to think about:
- Navigation aliases can be used for common content. This is a limited solution though and doesn't work for
all situations
- Categories would have to be set up for dynamic content so that you could filter out exclusive content
- Certain app specific variables (eg app name, tag line, logo, etc) would either have to be the same for both
or hard coded into the templates

different content but wanted to "share" some of the same content - like a
news feed or something?  I came up with:

1) Different tree nodes that function as home and both sites sharing the
datasource - not sure how this would work but....
2) Syndication using RSS with 1 site controlling the content.


Is there another way to accomplish this?
