I'm looking for everyones feedback on a problem i am facing.

My company has 3 "different" divsions, each division has a large number
of documents to deliver via their respective sections of the site. The
documents can be typed as "Application Notes", "White Papers",
"Datasheets", "Brochures", etc. Further, they can be classicied vua
categories specific to each division, ie, Application Notes might be
categorize by the type of application the product might be used for as
well as the product itself.

I need to be able to..

1. create collections of these documents so they can be searched
independently, this seems to indicate to me the best way might be to
place the actual files in some sort of folder tree.

2. I need to be able to use rules to pull specifc documents in to a
container for a given html type.

3. also important is to leverage FC's basic stats so I can keep track
of the "views" or downloads..

4. and lastly (well probably not), some of these documents may require
"registration" to view, so I'll need to be able to apply some sort of
security to them.

Has anyone had to do anything like this before?
