Hi Geoff,

Sorry a reply has taken so long, I hadn't forgot to reply, I just
couldn't get to it.

I understand what your saying about the IA issue. We are are about to
start the design stage of a total revamp of the site and I can see now
that my problem is only going to get worse. Due to the way the new
site will be designed (essentially the current site will be broken up
into four seperate "sub sites"), we will have some content that needs
to be shown on at least 2 of the sub sites. I really don't want to
make our content editors enter the same information twice.

I guess one of the reasons I'm getting confused about the symbolic
links is because using the friendly URL to access the areas that have
symbolic links, work as I expected.

So in my original example if you click "What industries use
traineeships" from this page:

http://www.wit.tafensw.edu.au/go/traineeships/i-want-to-be-a-trainee

You get redirect to:

http://www.wit.tafensw.edu.au/go/traineeships/i-am-an-employer/what-industries-use-traineeships
(note the "i-am-an-employer")

But if you use the friendly URL
http://www.wit.tafensw.edu.au/go/traineeships/i-want-to-be-a-trainee/what-industries-use-traineeships
(note the "i-want-to-be-a-trainee")

Everything works as I was expecting. So I guess like you said, I will
have to modify the genericNav.

Cheers
Mark
