Hi, I was looking into extending custom types which seems fairly logical however I need to add a text field to the news article type and this would seem to be a slightly more complicated proposition than extending something like dmProfile or similar. The field I need to add will store a small body of callout text (added via a textarea) and I'd like to include it in the body form of the add/edit news process. Im wondering if I can just update the files in situ and add extra files as necessary eg a callout widget but obviously this raises other issues. Has anyone done something similar with the news?
