Hi Paul, Would you mind adding this as a comment on the bug ticket?
http://bugs.farcrycms.org:8080/browse/FC-633?page=all. Cheers David -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Gallo, Paul Sent: Friday, 26 January 2007 3:01 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [farcry-dev] Re: Draft (Unapproved) DMHTML Object appears It would appear that the bug which allows anonymous users to see draft content by accessing the parent (nav) node still exists. Is there any fix to this? Wouldn't this be a major problem for sites with frequently changing content? Also, just for reference, this problem also exists in 3.0.1, not just 3.0.2. I was having another similar problem - getting draft pages/nav nodes to not show up in the navigation for anonymous users... I have noticed inside genericNav, when request.mode.lvalidstatus is equal to 'approved', all statuses will be returned (approved, draft, etc). But if I change request.mode.lvalidstatus to 'approved, dummy', it returns only the approved nodes. It's like there needs to be two statuses in the list. This is the code that I am referencing: navfilter[1]="status IN (#listQualify(request.mode.lvalidstatus, "'")#)"; qNav = evaluate("o."&attributes.functionMethod&"(objectid=attributes.navID, lColumns='externallink', "&attributes.functionArgs&", afilter=navFilter)"); Maybe this information help to solve the first problem? When one goes to a nav node FC serves up the first object within the node. If there is not object within the node (like you describe) then this error is saying there is nothing to serve up. If your menu is calling the getDescendants function (within the tree.cfc) there is an option 'bHideEmptyNodes' that "Hides empty nodes from results". Unfortunately, as you can see from Jeff's bug ticket (http://bugs.farcrycms.org:8080/browse/FC-531) this is a few issues. With your second situation, I have encounter it also and submit this bug ticket http://bugs.farcrycms.org:8080/browse/FC-633?page=all. I created a Navigation Node. Then I approved the navigation node. The node appeared. When I click it, I get an error. But that's not my problem. I created an HTML file inside my Navigation Node. It's still in draft and not yet approved. When I click my navigation node, the one I mentioned earlier, I got the HTML file displayed. As far as I can remember, the HTML file should not be displayed. As for dmNews, dmNavigation, dmEvents, dmFacts, etc., they don't work that way, they don't appear if they are still drafts. The database says they are drafts. How come they appear? Is this normal?
