Bob, I came across that error too back in June/July last year. I think I ended up hacking the installer, so that objectWDDX didn't have a default value, but I can't remember exactly what I did.
If you're new to Farcry, while I know its still classed as "beta", I would strongly recommend that you have a look at Farcry 4. Its probably more stable than FC3.x and has so many more superb features, not least of which is the formtools, that FC3 pales in comparison.
