That is exactly how I run FC4 on my laptop/dev machine.

I run apache 2.0.59 with multiple instance of CF7 ( I have more projects
than just FC, so this helps me make sure that every project is appropriately
compartmentalised) with MySQL 5

Personally I prefer Firefox and IE6 and 7 should burn in a fire (to use a
Geoff-ism ;) ), but that is neither here nor there when it comes to Farcry
actually running.
