Excellent idea. Now I'm just working on getting it working. I have the
template plugin running and the button added to the editor. I'm getting a
bunch of errors though about initialization parameters and the default popup
for the templates is confusing me. How do I make my templates listed in the
config available? Is there any good tutorials out there. The wiki at
moxiecode.com got me a start but I need a big more info.

instead of having your users select the classes to apply to the lists,
you could come up with some templates.

probably the easiest way would be to have a template file with the
class as a parameter:

<ul class="#listclass#">
<li>Example 1</li>
<li>Example 2</li>
<li>Example 3</li>
</ul>

and then adding each class into your tinyMCE config using a parameter:

template_templates : [
                {
                        title : "List - Menu",
                        src :
"/tinymcetemplates/listtemplate.cfm?listclass=menu",
                        description : "Menu (unordered list)"
                },
                {
                        title : "List - Sub-menu",
                        src :
"/tinymcetemplates/listtemplate.cfm?listclass=submenu",
                        description : "Sub-menu (unordered list)"
                }
]

Just an idea.
