Anything with bFriendly=1 in the cfc can use friendly urls regardless of
when it was created. It has to have a friendly url set to be able to use
it. Also, there has to be an ISAPI rewrite installed on the server to
translate the friendly urls.

Ummmm yeeeeaaaahhhhhh... LOL I'm not that advanced yet to answer the
first question but as for your second one, no. You can go in at any
time to the admin, click the Admin tab and then click the "Rebuild
Friendly URLs" and it'll create them for you.

Warning tho, as I learned, if you have custom FUs (you click on the
"Manage" link when viewing the overview of an item - whether a page,
navigation, custom type record - and then add your own FU) and then go
back and select all when rebuilding links, it'll wipe out everything
you did and rebuild them the original way it was built *sigh*...

For instance, using the example above:

If your FU is /go/types/type-1 and you want it to say /go/section/
types/type-1 you can click on the Overview link for whatever item,
click the Manage link next to the Show Friendly URL link which will
open a new window, type in the new FU and click the Add button, then
delete the original. If at anytime you go back and Rebuild Friendly
URLs and choose Select All (or whatever checkbox the types are
associated with), it'll put the FU back to /go/types/type-1...

I hope that made sense... Someone else can probably explain it a lot
better (*ahem blair cough jake*)...
