That is a significant improvement over the approach I was using, as it
makes the process completely transparent to the developer. I'm going
to implement this suggestion, and I'll attach the code I come up with
when raising the dmImage bug. Thanks for the idea!

Interesting. I note that the objectadmin does display a message to the
user when a deletion is prevented -- is this the mechanism you are
referring to, or did you have something else in mind?
