After digging around in the code, I found the answer to my question. I unfortunately never found any user or developer documentation on this, so I will document this here.
An RSS feed has been created in Content Tab | Content Utilities | Export | RSS Feeds. To create a scheduled task for this feed, do the following: 1. Go to Admin Tab | Scheduled Tasks. In the Scheduled Tasks Administration screen, select Add. 2. Enter title and description 3. In the template dropdown, select "XML Feed Update (core)" 4. Parameters: Enter the object Id of the RSS Feed. It can be found in table dmXMLExport, or go to the RSS screen and select "Properties". The object id will be dumped at the top of the page. NOTE: you must fill in the parameters field like this: oid=<objectID of the dmXMLExport object> (for example: oid=7BEBE66C-9903-1CF3-7D67192D752A7E74). 5. Set the frequency, start/end dates, and timeout. Save. 6. To test, you can run the task from the Scheduled Tasks Administration screen.
