Funny you mention this. I have a client who just addressed similar concerns. They have some content types (like the image media library) where they have hundreds and/or thousands of content items. When going to the listing page in the webtop, they find it difficult to search for items (to know if they are about to upload a duplicate item). It's a simple fix really (but a feature request for Daemon). At the top of the listing page is a filter option. Currently it only allows you to do a SQL like search on the label field. But ideally it would be great if it allows you to have more options. Using the metadata from the content type, FarCry could build an advanced search form to filter by all the search criteria (including categories). Additionally the keyword search could detect and use the verity plugin to search all of the text fields (an option that already exists when using the "open library" feature for assigning one-to-one and one-to- many content relationships). The best part about this is that it can be used on all content types (on their listing page). Thoughts? Is this a feature request that others would find useful? Am I way off base to your original request? :) -- Jeff Coughlin Web Application Developer http://jeffcoughlin.com --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "farcry-dev" group.
