Liz, Not sure about V3, but the following works in V4.
In your <ft:objectadmin add the following sqlwhere="ownedBy = '#session.dmProfile.objectID#'" It should limit the entries returned to the user based on their logged in profile id being the same as teh content item ownedBy You should be able to do a similar thing with the V3 typeadmin.
