Personally i am very happy at hostmysite.com, the shared hosting has some limitations which results in not being able to upload larger files by browser, images of course nop, and the installer will probably not work because of that time limit they have setup.
But they are willing to help you out with any issues and by that way i was able to setup farcry on their shared hosting. It's not the cheapest solution but if you want quality and good support... Also the time limit is a good thing as it makes sure that no body else on your shared server will steal all your bandwidth etc. Finally you can use a vps and setup everything as you want, that is more expensive in the beginning but will become cheaper and cheaper as you move more sites to it. p.s. why don't you start locally first??? that's for free !
