Pedro, Off the top of my head, I think this kind of problem has been seen before, maybe search the group archive with "navid.home" or something similar, as well as the bug repository at bugs.farcrycms.org. You should find something in the last couple months.... At least this seems very similar to what I've see through the list.
I think the thing to make sure is that the default home page is out of draft mode... and besides that maybe the admin > config > general config is the place to look for a setting for that.
