I think it's hard to say that from here, we don't know the server specs, load, etc. Also, do the sites have to be standalone? Isn't it faster already when you use a single core?
Further i am not a coldfusion server tweak expert (yet) but i just have read a section in coldfusion advanced application kit, and when i see all settings you can set, causes of slow running web app, solutions, then again i really can't tell from here. I assume you can monitor your server (s) behaviour very well with coldfusion enterprise so there must be more visual info about where and what is going on, or maybe someone more experienced here can point out some tips...
