What version of Farcry are you using?
Are you using the farcry plugin?

What you have to do, once you have conected to the AD server (which is fun
in itself))
is map AD groups to Farcry groups
So it doesn't really matter how complex the AD set up is.
However, you may hit an AD client limit if there are a lot of entries (1000
rings a bell for me)

domain is the windows domain, not the network domain
eg POWER, not power.net.au
