You are using internet explorer? Sometimes a missing script or asset can result in relocation to a 404.

Try installing firefox and then get the extension 'tamper data'. Run tamper data whilst opening the editor and look for 404's.

You'll probably have more luck if you look around the TinyMCE site. FarCry doesn't make any changes to the core of the editor which appears to be your problem.

Hey guys,

On my server, we have a "Missing Template Handler" pointing to our own 404
html page.
I've made a custom type as such:
       <cfproperty ftSeq="5"
                       ftWizardStep="Member"
                       ftFieldSet="Other Information"
                       name="blurb"
                       type="longchar"
                       hint="Blurb"
                       required="no"
                       default=""
                       ftValidation=""
                       ftLabel="Blurb" />

That's good, and I can enter the text into the large text box. However, when
I add the attribute ftType="richtext", things go a bit funny...

It show me the text inside the rich text box, but it won't let me save, or cancel. It just redirects to our 404 page. Which is odd, because the page it's calling is itself! We did have a site-wide error handler set up to go to the same page (I'm not sure how or why though) but we've since removed
that.

Can anyone suggest what might be going wrong, as I'd prefer this field to be
a richtext box instead of just a big textarea.

Cheers,
Phil
