Sorry Blair, I forgot to say this was on FarCry 5.2.2. I'll certainly look into that checkPermission method. It's odd though, because I've managed to implement a similar thing on another project - allowing some users to edit a new folder under the Root navigation item. Should have written down exactly what I did for that, oh well. I'll let you know if I find anything out.
