Hi guys, Can I check exactly what "updateapp=xxxx" does (whether via the URL or the admin tab in the webtop)?
I was under the impression that it nuked the entire app scope, as if you're restarted ColdFusion. I'm not so sure that it does this; during development I sometimes have to restart the app server to make sure things are cleared. This happened to me today on a production server. The webtop was behaving strangely after updating 5.2.7 -> 6.1 with an overridden richtext.cfc formtool. Basically an exception was being thrown and wasn't making much sense, the properties being dumped were different to what I had locally. I had already done 2 updateapps...no change. Then I tried update the coapi only and my problem was resolved. Should this not have been handled in the global updateapp? So just asking what the actual functionality is supposed to be. Thanks. -- You received this message cos you are subscribed to "farcry-dev" Google group.
