So you're using a sub-directory (or Standalone) install.  There was a bug in 
FC6.1 that had the same result (which affected sub-directory/standalone 
installs).  Sean had submitted the fix a while back, but only to FC6.1 (maybe 
p600 too.  Not sure, but I know he didn't submit it to any FC 5.x branches).  
Maybe you can persuade him to submit the same fix to the 5.2.x branch and 
hopefully it'll fix your problem.
