Having lots of different skins (css frameworks, looks, etc) would be ideal. At this stage I'd settle for a single, good, clean example of best practice. We've toyed with the idea of making an official FarCry THEME. The key is trying to avoid forcing folks to adhere to a certain approach and a certain markup. One of the reasons there are so many Wordpress themes available is that a Wordpress theme is a specific set of markup, that wraps a very simple data model (the post!). It's not very liberating but at the same time defines a very clear path for designers. The plugin framework would make it a doddle to allow folks to swap in and out different "webskins" -- we change the look and feel all the time in apps based on the URL or device. The lack of any specific templating requirements in FarCry is actually very intimidating for first time users or would be theme developers. Most find it hard to believe there are simply no restrictions. GB Daemonite -- You received this message cos you are subscribed to "farcry-dev" Google group.
