I've launched my first ever ecomm site based on FarCry (yay!), and I've got a question about buildlink. I've got webskin caching turned on, which is just stellar. After initial load, page times are under one second. The problem is the initial load. Without debugging on, it's around 5-7 seconds to show 20 products. I might grab FusionReactor for seven days and analyze this more, but it seems like the buildlink calls tend to take about 100-200 MS to complete. There's around 70k products, and all of them (should) have a FU. There is an index on objectid (this is MySQL). Is there anything obvious I should be looking for in the code/database to bring page load times up a smidge? I'm looking at selling the owner on fronting some cash to throw every compression tweak in the book at it, but the processing is the biggest hurdle right now.
