Have you tried using the FarCry security model. e.g. - create a user group/role for your members - set your protected content in the site tree to not allow anonymous visitors but to allow members to view - use custom web visitor login pages, see https://farcry.jira.com/wiki/display/FCDEV60/Login+Pages
The above will work for site tree content, you would still need to do extra work if non-site tree content needs to be protected from anonymous viewing. Chris.
