Folks, Have been trying to work out how the new overview section of the webtop should work. I've included my notes below.
What would you like to see on the Dashboard? Any feedback much appreciated, GB # FarCry Dashboard The default page you hit when you login to the webtop. The dashboard will be a responsive collection of single (300px) and double (600px) cards, jmasonry'd together. (similar to something like this http://sochi2014.olympics.com.au/news/media) These cards will be drawn from a list of information sources; including core, plugins and the project itself. Each view will be sequenced int he same way as "sys info" views. ## Suggested information sources ### core - message of the day; static message from a config - server date/time; to indicate to user what the publishing platform understands the date/time to be - other logged in sessions (webtop only) - items in draft created by the user - items pending approval (that the user can approve) - recent activity for the user - recent activity for everyone else - recently added images - recently added files - community links; documentation, website, etc - farcry version; indicate if upgrade is available - coapi conflicts; show any required updates to coapi ### cms - news and events forward published; approved but prior to publishdate - number of draft news and event items; with link to filtered view of same ### google analytics - general graph of site traffic - most popular content items ## etc Each plugin or project can have none or multiple cards. Each is just a simple, ajax-loaded webskin. -- You received this message cos you are subscribed to "farcry-dev" Google group.
