Just wondering if there's a recommended strategy for building content approval workflows? I know you can request approval manually, but is there a 'right' way of automatically setting up a chain of roles/users for content approval.
Well yes and no. You can change the "approving" role through the node permissions within the tree. But there is no task based workflow outside of the request to approve a specific object.
We are working on a nice little routing slip object that will enable content authors to request a custom workflow for any specific object. This won't be available in farcry_core till next quarter.
Of course you can build your own. If you decide on the latter, feel free to post your ideas to this list -- several of us may be able to chime in with past experiences.
