Is the structure in the apps.cfm file only used for admin or is it also used for the site itself? The reason for the question is if it is only used for the admin then theoretically it should be possible to set up an admin at url admin.sitename.com for a site at www.sitename.com <http://www.sitename.com>. Is this thinking corect??

Apps.cfm is only required if you are serving multiple FarCry applications from the same web site. If you set up a separate website for each FarCry application then you don't need apps.cfm.

Now as far as the Admin location is concerned. This is actually determined by the web server virtual to /farcry/ -- without you would have no Admin accessible under any particular website.

It would be easy enough to set up the [drive]/farcry_project/www/ mapping for one domain, say www.project.com, and not to set up a /farcry virtual at all.

Then set up a separate website, perhaps with a domain like admin.project.com, that points to the same [drive]/farcry_project/www/ but turn off all options for viewing. Set up a web site virtual to point /farcry to [drive]/farcry_core/admin.

Perhaps there are more elegant solutions.. but that sounds like it would work just peachy to me.
