---Hi Helen,I just had another look at the error you got.Did you put .dbo in the database owner field during the Install ?I believe that is NOT repeat *NOT* supposed to be put in for a MySQL install.I asked because your error said......General error: Can't create/write to file '.\dbo\categories.frm' (Errcode: 2)
Message: Error Executing Database Query.I am suspicious of the .\dboFrom another technote:When using MySQL you should leave "DBO owner" field empty due to the fact that the concepts of table ownership are unknown in MySQL. DB Security is managed by providing a valid MySQL user in setting up and connecting to the datasource.

Subject: [farcry-dev] RE: installation difficulties CMFX built-in Serv erHi Neil, thanks for the reply. Not sure where to go from here.. I took a look in the database, there are 2 designed but not populated tables .. and then nothing.. its accessing it but not going any further.. Any suggestions for hunting down the error before I try a re-install?I may end up reversing the changes I made to C:\CFusionMX\wwwroot\WEB-INF\jrun-web.xml file and starting again..thanksHelen--------Original Message-----

Subject: [farcry-dev] RE: installation difficulties CMFX built-in ServerHi everyone..
I am new to the list.. and was wondering if anyone could help me with an installation problem?I am using CFMX and using the built in CFMX Web Server and MySql.
I have installed FarCry by doing the following:
1. I created a blank MySql Database and checked that Create_temp_table_priv was granted
2. I created the data source in the CF Administrator
3. For the Web Server Setup I used Brendon's http://farcry.daemon.com.au/index.cfm?objectid=52589707-D0B7-4CD6-F94813CD428BEE67 code found in the Daemon tech notes for "Web Server Mappings for built-in CFMX Web Server", (cutting and pasting into my C:\CFusionMX\wwwroot\WEB-INF\jrun-web.xml file).
4. I went to http://localhost:8500/farcry/install/ which worked partially, I got as far as this screen:
[STEP 1] setup farcry database
Creating audit tables ..... DONE Deploying tree tables..... DONE Creating tables for categorisation actions..... General error: Can't create/write to file '.\dbo\categories.frm' (Errcode: 2)
Message: Error Executing Database Query... I am really new to MySql, am stepping up from Access in order to try out FarCry, not sure if my problem lies in something I have done with the MySql settings, but endeavoured to follow the install instructions...
Does anyone have any ideas?
Cheers and many thanks
Helen
