Thanks Quentin Did that and the admin for farcry installs fine, then mapped a virtual directory called 'farcry_app' to C:\Inetpub\applications\farcry_aura\www but is not picking up the site. It is going to a mapping that does not even exist in the IIS!! ? (had set this mapping up in a previous install but have since deleted it).

When you run the installation, the files will be copied to a directory based on the name you entered in the installation. If you've already made that directory and setup the IIS mapping prior to this it may run into troubles (i.e. the app directory shouldn't exist at all). Once the the installation is complete, you should then set up an IIS mapping to the appName\www directory (it doesn't have to be called farcry_app, it can be whatever you like) There is only 1 mapping required within coldfusion, which is the base application directory (e.g. c:\inetpub\applications) mapped to /farcry Cheers -- Quentin Zervaas Web Developer MITOUSA.
