So - I can upload images into something like a NEWS item. It seems as though I HAVE to give it a "thumbnail" image for it to appear in the list of images for the Teaser ? That's kewl - just asking the question.
BUT..... can I use images that are stored under the "generic" images tree entry ? It doesnt seem so. I added an image there and then went back to try and use it as a Teaser thumbnail - but it did not show up in the list. What I would prefer to do is be able to lift images from there - rather than have to (potentially) upload them in two different places. I suppose this brings up the question of image reuse in FarCry (similar to HTML page reuse). I may have an image that I want to use in multiple locations. So I thought I would put this into the generic IMAGES portion of the nav tree and then FarCry would allow me to select from this for other purposes (such as the images or thumbnails on NEWS for example). Or maybe I am doing something wrong ? ALSO..... What if my actual image, my hi-res image, and my teaser image are all the same? I have to upload them three times, they are stored in three different files, and they get three different names? Most of the images we would have with our "news" could all be catered for by just one image (basically a Thumbnail image). So do I just upload the thumbnail image and make all my display routines just use that ?
